Conceptual understanding is one indicator of an expert in mathematics. important for students addition to procedural skills. Students who have a good conceptual will be able find solutions with new or different procedures, while do not only use standard procedures. Teaching the most thing process developing students' understanding. The teacher as learning designer classroom has role that must direct and guide develop through effective learning. This article aims discuss teaching primary schools. uses structured literature review method. author various documents such national international indexed journals, quality books been written by mathematical figures, especially material on mathematics concepts teaching. results showed could teach using language carefully easily understood, making questions encouraged think, avoiding shortcuts, memorizing facts helping make connections between concepts, CRA (Concrete-Representation-Abstract).
